The Industry Vice President, Energy and Utilities, is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing sales strategies, and fostering deep executive relationships with clients in the Energy and Utilities industry. This role will champion the firm’s Ethos culture, ensuring alignment with our values while delivering transformative solutions that address the unique challenges of the sector. There will be 20–50% travel expected.

About the Job: Industry Vice President, Energy & Utilities
Location: Remote – frequent travel to San Diego, Houston, Charlotte, Detroit, Boston, Tampa/South Florida, Northern California
Key Responsibilities: Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve revenue targets within the Energy and Utilities vertical.
- Identify new business opportunities, expand market share, and drive pipeline development.
- Lead the pursuit of high-value contracts, including RFPs, proposals, and strategic partnerships.
- Sales Strategy Optimization:
- Design and implement tailored sales strategies to address the specific needs of Energy and Utilities clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., solution architects, delivery teams, and marketing) to create compelling value propositions.
- Leverage market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to position the firm as a trusted advisor.
Client Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at client organizations.
- Act as a strategic partner, understanding clients’ business challenges and aligning solutions to their long-term goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Embodying Ethos Culture: - Champion the company’s Ethos culture by fostering integrity, collaboration, and innovation in all interactions.
- Lead by example, inspiring teams to uphold the firm’s values in client engagements and internal collaboration.
- Promote a client-centric approach, ensuring solutions reflect the firm’s commitment to excellence and ethical practices.
Industry Leadership: - Stay abreast of industry trends, including renewable energy, grid modernization, decarbonization, and digital transformation.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, events, and thought leadership forums to enhance brand visibility.
- Provide insights to internal teams to guide the development of industry-specific solutions and offerings.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Mentor and guide sales and delivery teams to align with industry goals and client expectations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and consistent client experiences.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Energy and Utilities practice.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience in the Energy and Utilities industry, with a focus on IT consulting, sales, or business development.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving growth in a consulting or technology services environment.
- Strong network of executive relationships within the Energy and Utilities sector.
- Deep understanding of industry challenges, including regulatory frameworks, sustainability, and technological disruption.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to embody and promote the company’s Ethos culture in all aspects of work.
- Experience with strategic sales methodologies and managing complex, high-value deals.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in digital transformation, cloud solutions, project management, AI, or cybersecurity as applied to Energy and Utilities.
- Familiarity with key industry technologies (e.g., SCADA, smart grids, or energy management systems).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
