IDR is seeking a GIS Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Golden, Colorado. This role involves supporting spatial analysis, data management, and automation workflows within a leading organization focused on geographic information systems and mapping solutions.
Position Overview for the GIS Analyst:
- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain complex geographic databases and feature sets.
- Perform updates and edits, ensuring data integrity and exchange standards are met.
- Automate workflows and processes using Python scripting and other automation tools.
- Coordinate efforts of external contractors and suppliers to meet project objectives.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for GIS data and applications.
Requirements for the GIS Analyst:
- A bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field, combined with 5–8 years of experience in spatial analysis, database management, and Python scripting.
- Expert proficiency in Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop/Pro/Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS).
- Advanced skills in creating and maintaining enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE), SQL, and spatial data integration.
- Strong skills in Python (ArcPy/API), FME for ETL processes, and automation to streamline workflows.
- Ability to independently evaluate, develop, and program computer software applications to automate data capture, conversion, and maintenance procedures related to GIS.
