IDR is seeking a Business Data Quality Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas . This role supports Health and Human Services (HHS) teams by serving as a critical liaison between technical IT and non-technical program staff. The Business Data Quality Analyst will help ensure complex data sources are profiled, quality-assessed, and translated into actionable insights for analytics and strategic decision-making.
Position Overview for the Business Data Quality Analyst:
- Serve as a senior business data quality analyst and bridge between technical IT and program stakeholders
- Determine data profiles and data quality measures for agency analytical reporting and strategic decision-making
- Lead or support data profiling across complex HHS data sources and domains
- Translate technical findings, data limitations, and lineage concepts into clear, actionable guidance for end-users and leadership
- Collaborate in an emerging AI context to improve usability of data for analytics and reporting
Requirements for the Business Data Quality Analyst:
- 8+ years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex data acquisitions and operational requirements into clear, actionable access paths for data profiling for complex analytics
- 8+ years of experience explaining technical findings and data limitations in simple, non-technical language to end-users and leadership
- 8+ years of experience in a complex data analysis, senior business/systems analyst, and/or data liaison role
- 8+ years of strong experience with SQL for data extraction, data profiling, manipulation, and enrichment
- 8+ years of experience collaborating with end-users and performance analysts or IT internal leaders to create and validate data profiles for analytics development and business data lineage analysis
