Location: Denver, CO (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH)
Overview: TSG is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level Business Analyst to join a collaborative and data-driven team in Denver, CO. This role will focus on supporting and improving internal processes around data validation, reporting, and defect management. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis, documentation, and process improvement experience — with a bonus for those who bring a data background.
Project Details: The Business Analyst will directly support ongoing and upcoming process improvement initiatives, including:
- Production Process:
- Support the formalization and documentation of processes for building Tableau reports and ETL pipelines
- Assist in internal validation workflows and documentation for handoff to the ETL team
- Analysis Validation Process:
- Assess and improve the current informal processes for analysis validation to enhance data accuracy and reporting quality
- Formalize Tableau processes and implement process maturity initiatives
- Release/Defect Pipelines:
- Contribute to a major project focused on releasing and detecting quality issues in data for four stakeholder teams
- Assist with project management activities: requirements gathering, timeline management, documentation, and stakeholder communication
Must-Have Skills: - 5–10 years of Business Analyst experience
- Strong documentation and requirements gathering experience using Confluence (Chalk framework preferred)
- Proficiency with Jira for project tracking and task management
- Process improvement experience, including:
- Gap analysis
- Needs assessments
- Requirements gathering
- Process implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Comfortable driving processes forward and holding teams accountable
Nice-to-Have Skills: - Familiarity with data workflows and processes, including:
- SQL (understanding basic queries like SELECT * FROM table)
- ETL processes
- Tableau or other data visualization/dashboarding tools
- Understanding of data formats and data origination concepts
- Telecom industry experience
- Project management experience
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Support process improvement projects from start to finish, focusing on Production, Analysis Validation, and Release/Defect management
- Gather and document business and technical requirements
- Collaborate closely with internal data, ETL, and reporting teams
- Manage project timelines, track progress in Jira, and update Confluence documentation
- Provide regular communication and updates to stakeholders and internal teams
- Identify and champion opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency
